As a student in ENGL 3379: Writing for the Web at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, I was presented with a project to create a recommendation report for a website that needs improvement. As the current Vice President of the Student Government Association (SGA), I have seen first hand that there could be some updating done to the SGA website. Because Student Government is an essential organization on campus, I decided to analyze this site and make recommendations for changes and to point out positive aspects that are working well for it. The recommendations I will include were made after reviewing a book titled, Letting Go of the Words by Janice (Ginny) Redish and after analyzing the SGA website. If you consider making changes from this recommendation report, there could be a possibility of recruiting more members for the organization, allow interested people to become more familiar with Student Government, and allow for more visitors to the website.

 

Currently, the SGA website is extremely outdated and can use some improvement on it’s content, language, design aspects, and it could also include some additions. This recommendation report will cover each point and include suggestions to update the SGA website to become more user-friendly and professional.
